About

Harmony Community

The School was established in 2018.  It serves pupils who range from ages 3 months and above with educative programs for effective teaching and learning.

These programs are fully inclusive and serve diverse groups of students who come from diverse backgrounds. The program’s goal is to provide a high quality preschool learning, meeting each individual pupil’s needs that encourage pupils to become life-long learners. These programs provide a setting where children feel safe, respected, and cared for. This opportunity for 3 months and above children are to take part in developmentally appropriate activities during planned activities and through play. The preschool and primary programs follow the Quality Early Learning Standards, administered by the Ghana Education Service and NASIA.

ACADEMICS

PRESCHOOL

A good foundation helps to provide good long-term results and success in education. Harmony Community Preschool, including Toddlers, Creche, Nursery, and Kindergarten is vibrant and fosters the children's curiosity to learn. Our Preschool offers an inclusive curriculum that covers the following areas such as personal development, knowing public figures and others.

Harmony primarily focuses on promoting the pupils' moral, emotional, mental, confidence, reading and communication skills. Our Primary offers an inclusive curriculum that covers areas including English, Mathematics and others

Our Goal

To support and nurture the children’s desire to be life-long learners who are committed to their families and community.

Our Curriculum

A curriculum is a framework for learning opportunities and experiences to obtain knowledge and understanding while developing life skills. Our preschool programs use the creative curriculum, a research and evidence-based curriculum, to focus on the developmental levels of the whole child. These areas include language literacy, math, science, physical, and social skills. The Creative Curriculum also provides the opportunity to learn in various ways (i.e., through problem-solving, exploration, play, music, movement, art, drawing, writing, listening, and storytelling).

HCS Vision

To provide a safe developmentally inclusive environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners and all school-going age children. Our focus is to provide a stimulating early learning and childcare experience which promotes each child’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development
